Wateen is first or you may call it pioneer Broadband company in Pakistan who introduce broadband technology and i still remember that day when i signed up with wateen and i have paid Rs. 7500/- for activation and security deposit and monthly line rent and they were charging Rs.100/- for rent charges of device Rs.100/- for telepony service which people do not prefer but forceably was pushed towards customer..
The net speed wad 256KB and download limit was 2 GB and i was so much happy for having broadband internet but after spending 7 months with Wateen, Witribe launched with no activation charges, no rental charges for device, no telephony charges, no security deposit, no activation charges, just pay one month line rent and get your device which make ease to the customers and this would make Witribe a number #1 broadband company in Pakistan.
More or less Witribe also introduce new devices, like WiFi devices, USB Dongle devices, smart pocket size devices, and many more.
but Wateen was failed to sustain the market share or you can say they have forgotten the marketing strategy that consumers are dynamic and they want changes.... but its no lost to came last... Wateen is re launching its company with new management, new packages, new devices, or diversifying their whole strategy in 360 degree which would help them to sustain in the market.....
